Grand Prix de Karting de Mirabel : Great event for everyone present!

August 27th (Mirabel, Québec): The Championnat du Québec karting event was held at Circuit ICAR on August 22nd and 23rd. The competitors came in droves from Ontario and everywhere in Québec to participate on the 1.05 km circuit designed by Jacques Villeneuve.

Circuit ICAR is not only very happy with the large turnout of participants with over 100 entries, but the ICAR Racing team also won three races during the weekend! Firstly, Élie Arseneau won the Rotax Senior race on Saturday evening, the race was a repeat of the postponed May event. Pier-Luc Ouellette easily won the Rotax DD2 event on Sunday. Finally, Hugo Ouellette won in masterful fashion the Rotax Senior race by starting last on the grid and moving all the way up to first place!. Hugo will represent Canada at the Rotax world finals in Egypt this coming December since he recently won the Canadian karting championship. Everyone at ICAR and the entire Canadian karting community wishes Hugo the best of luck.

The next major event at ICAR will be held on the road course when the Continental Sun Down Jacques Villeneuve event rolls into Mirabel on September 5th and 6th.
