CONTROLLED ENVIRONNEMENT AND MEDICAR SECURITY

The ICAR circuit is equipped with cement barriers and wide run-off areas to allow vehicles to slow down and stop if necessary, thus ensuring maximum safety to its patrons.  For an immediate and efficient reaction to any urgent medical situation, a qualified alert team is on site and ready to intervene at all times.

• DRAG

The ICAR drag strip, inaugurated in June of 2009 and measuring ¼ mile with a braking zone of over a ¼ mile, has quickly become the ultimate reference in drag racing in the Montreal area. In 2009, over 75,000 people came to ICAR specifically to watch the street drags twice per week. The concept is so popular that international series are considering the possibility of hosting an event at ICAR. With the infrastructure put in place by ICAR, the sport can only grow.

• ROAD COURSE

The road course at Circuit ICAR is the masterpiece of the complex. With its 3.0 km road course that can be split into numerous configurations, the track is ASN/FIA Canada homologated. The race track, in almost its entirety, can been seen from anywhere on the site as to see all the on-track action. Furthermore, the road course is host to numerous national events, namely the Canadian Superbike championship and the Canadian Touring Car championship. The track was designed to challenge the skills of all the drivers and the know-how of their race engineers. The runoff areas are completely paved with concrete as to provide maximum grip to stray vehicles before getting to the retaining wall.

• DRIFTPARK

Circuit ICAR is proud to be associated to one of motorsports’ newest type of competition, drifting. This ever expanding sport  required a brand new playground that is safe and easily accessible for the spectators. At Circuit ICAR, the Drift Park was designed as to provide the maximum challenge for the participants in a controlled environment as well as to provide exceptional viewing of the entire competitions for the spectators. Circuit ICAR will be hosting national and regional drifting events throughout the year. The fans wishing to practice on the Drift Park will be able to do so during specifically scheduled evenings.
